Greetings. Back to the blog, it's a fun way for me to document my trip, and to keep my family informed.

Me leaving the comfort of my perfectly nice apartment.

Left Denver at midnight and arrived at Cusco at 6pm, with stops in Miami and Lima. Saw some of the city and got dinner when I arrived.

Next morning I went for a walk through some markets and up to a ancient fortress.

I am pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the area so far. I cannot wait for my expedition into the mountains.

The Peruvian crusine has also surprised me. Very delicious, and so cheap. Each of my meals have around $2.

Hostel I'm at is probably the nicest one ive been at. $10 a night, and those fancy pancakes were included!

One thing I don't enjoy is the constant harassment of people trying to sell you things in the tourist areas. Best to avoid those areas. There are people in every crack and cranny of this city trying to make a dollar.

Really gives me perspective of what people will do all day for a scrap of change. Bless up for being American 🦅
